She Can Kick, Too!

Congratulations to USA Team Handball player Maren Hendershot-McCrary, who was named Wednesday to the Mountain West Conference All-Decade team for women's soccer. Hendershot is still ranked as the second all-time goal scorer in Brigham Young University history. She scored 52 goals in her career at BYU and was named Mountain West Player of the Year in the conference's inaugural season in 1999. Hendershot played professional soccer for the Carolina Courage of the WUSA before turning her considerable athletic ability towards handball.
USA Team Handball hopes to bring her back to BYU this fall for a handball clinic to be held in conjunction with a public tryout for USA Team Handball National teams. Stay tuned to this website for details.
