U.S. Team Handball Foundation
The United States Team Handball Foundation was started following the 1984 Olympic Games from a grant provided by the LOC (Los Angeles) of the Olympics. One million dollars was placed in the US Olympic Foundation for the benefit of team handball and activities related to the sport of team handball.
Over the years, the USTHF has supported numerous team handball related activities including but not limited to the Men's and Women's National Team Programs, Team Handball club activities, tournament support, referee support, etc.
Applying for a grant from the USTHF is a simple summary letter request for economic support. The request should include the organization (and contact information) making the request, the reason for the request and the amount requested. As much information as possible should be sent along with the request for funding. Requests can be sent via e-mail to rhurst@nkhurst.com or to:

Often, the USTHF board will have questions requesting further explanation from the organization making the request. The board also likes to see that a requesting organization has a plan to become financially independent - as opposed to requiring funding in perpetuity by the foundation. Submitting those plans along with a grant request is recommended. The Foundation will deny a request that is untimely, lacks background information or has not been thoroughly planned as part of a total project.
The Foundation has sent a representative to review the use of grant monies. This helps to determine if those monies have been used properly. Recipients of a grant must submit a written summary of the event after it has been completed.
